SPHERES the spirit guide | 2008 Whale Dive in Tonga Without a doubt, the most inspiring experience I’ve had so far as editor of the Spheres Travel Pages was our Spirit Guide Whale and Dolphin Encounter in 2006. To get together with my colleagues, our readers, contributors and our families was lovely in itself, but to encounter whales and dolphins up close and personal with such a spiritually-aware group of people was incredible. We all knew it would be a special day, but I think everyone was touched more deeply than they could have imagined. Those amazing creatures have so much to teach the humble human being. Leela and I were both very happy that our new government has made serious efforts to halt Japanese whaling, with some success. It’s important that we all do what we can to protect these awesome, intelligent and playful spirits of the deep. Which leads me to announce the most exciting travel news ever... To celebrate our fifth birthday year in 2008, we are joining forces with Ron Hunter at Dive Forster to bring you... The Spirit Guide Whale Dive Adventure, Tonga 2008Dust off your snorkel and flippers; this is going to be the most amazing event. Join me on a magical whale dive trip to Tonga, where we will actually swim (snorkel) with the humpback whales and their calves in their breeding grounds, under the guidance of our expert Dive Forster host. This will be an eight-day, all-inclusive tour (including airfares, accommodation, four days out on the water with the whales and much more). The cost will be $3120 per person on a twin share basis – an incredible price for such a life-changing experience with our friends, the whales.
